Tiger Woods Stopped Wall Street
60
Could you believe it, Tiger Woods almost stopped trading on Wall Street?
Well, I would not believe that but it really happened last Friday. I read this on Bloomberg.com and a link to the article is at the end of this text.
On the site, they tell that the trading volume in New York Stock Exchange dropped to about 1 million shares to the lowest level of the day, when Tiger Woods started his apology press conference on 19th February. This was because all the stockbrokers were watching the press conference on TV.
After the speech, there was a 5 million peak in trading volume before the trading level recovered to the average level of the day.
Here is the link to the article:
Tiger Woods is a 34-year-old professional golfer and one of the best athletes in the world. He has won 14 major golf championships and has been awarded PGA Player of the Year title ten times.
He has not given any public statement after December 2009, when he told that he is going to focus on his marriage, which suffered from major difficulties. So, the press conference last Friday was the first public statement after that.

When it comes to Tiger Woods, please go away, let true men step up
I guess I feel Tiger's personal life is not related to his game of golf, but there will always be those who make money through exposing the weaknesses of those with whom they cannot otherwise compete. Good for Tiger. I rather hoped he would return to the sport sooner, not later.
